Board of Directors
The district is governed by a five-member board of directors who are elected on the General Election ballot in November of even-number years. As a public entity, the district conducts all meetings in accordance with Oregon Public Meetings Law, which requires public notice, recording of minutes, and opportunity for public attendance. Directors are entrusted with the power to administer state and local programs, receive and spend public funds, educate the public on conservation issues, and much more. For more information on director roles and responsibilities, or for information on opportunities to serve as a director or volunteer, please contact the district.
The district holds its regular board meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6 am in the USDA Ag Service Center, 17612 Hwy 395, Lakeview, Oregon. Notices are published on the district’s website.
